Teachers & Staff
SPNDS has been accredited by the National Association for Young Children (NAEYC) for 22 years. Our staff meets the rigorous requirements for developmentally appropriate early childhood education, and participates in continuing education experiences to enhance curriculum. Several of our teachers began their relationship with SPNDS as parents, and recognizing the collegial, congenial atmosphere, have become members of the staff.

Deb Hansen

Deb is the Director of the Nursery Day School. She began her journey with SPNDS in 2022.

Sheri Carney

Sheri is the Head Teacher for our Morning Kindergarten Complement class. Sheri started her connection to SPNDS as a parent and has been a staff member since 2008.

Sarah Caruso

Sarah is one of the Head teachers of our Afternoon Kindergarten Complement class and is assisting with one of the Pre-k classes this year. She began her experience at SPNDS as a parent and has been a staff member since 2021.

Megan Coltman

Megan is an Assistant with the Play Pals program in the morning and in one of the afternoon kindergarten classes. Megan also was a SPNDS parent and has been a staff member since 2000.

Cathy Conahan

Cathy is our volunteer librarian. She has had a long-standing relationship with the school. She was a parent and a grandparent of children at SPNDS. She served as director in the late 1990s and has served the school as interim director twice.

Cathy Darrell

Cathy is the Woodshop teacher. She has been with SPNDS since 1999.

Kristin DiBona

Kristin is one of the Afternoon Kindergarten Assistant Teachers and is also administrative assistant to the director. She has been a staff member at SPNDS since 2021.

Karen Flynn

Karen is the Play Pals Head Teacher and is a teacher for the Early Birds, Lunch Bunch and Stay & Play programs. Karen has started at SPNDS in 2022 after working in the field for many years.

Diana Galantino

Diana is a part time building sub and a part-time Early Birds, Lunch Bunch and Stay & Play teacher. She has been on staff at SPNDS since 2021 and has the distinction of being an alum of the program herself.

Angela Kraemer

Angela is the Head Teacher of the four-year-old class and has been at SPNDS since 2019.

Sara Mains

Sarah is our Science Teacher and a part-time building sub. She started as a parent at the school and has been a staff member since 2018.

Reisa Mukamal

Reisa is an Assistant Teacher for our Morning Kindergarten Complement class. Reisa started as a parent of children at SPNDS and has been a staff member at SPNDS since 2012.

Jeanne Murtha

Jeanne is a volunteer Yoga and creative movement teacher for our Play Pals program. She started working at SPNDS in 2022.

Jen Parsons

Jen is the Head Teacher of our Threes class and is the program coordinator of Lunch Bunch. She has been a staff member since 2021 and is also a SPNDS parent.

Maureen Rutkowski

Maureen is the Head Teacher for one of our oldest preschool classes and is also the Head Teacher for our Afternoon Kindergarten Complement program. Maureen’s children attended SPNDS, and she has been a teacher with SPNDS since 2005.

Amy Taimanglo

Amy is the Head Teacher of our Oldest Threes/Youngest Fours class and has been with SPNDS since 2021. Amy has also been an SPNDS parent.

Paul Voshell

Paul is the Assistant Teacher for one of our Pre-K classes. Paul has been with SPNDS since 2011. Paul also started his connection with the school as a parent.

Lauren Wallgren

Lauren is an Assistant Teacher in one of our Pre-K classes and has been on staff since 2019. Lauren also supports our Lunch bunch program some days in the afternoons. Lauren has had a long-standing relationship with the school as she began her career at the school and worked at SPNDS as an assistant teacher for four years before starting her family.

Megan Yates

Megan is the Art Teacher for our morning Pre-K classes and our Kindergarten Complement classes. Megan joined the staff in 2019. Megan also began her connection with the school as a parent.

Jeannine Mackie

Jeannine Mackey teaches in one of the morning Pre-K classes and is an Early Birds, Lunch Bunch and Stay and Play teacher. She started with SPNDS in the fall of 2022.

Brenda Norris

Brenda Norris is our music teacher. She comes to us twice a week to share musical experiences with our Preschoolers and kindergarten complement students. She started at SPNDS in 2022.

Lise Reno

Lise is a part-time Assistant in one of our Kindergarten Complement Classrooms. She started at SPNDS in 2022.

Shujing Ding

Shujing Ding is a Chinese enrichment teacher. She is also a parent of a student at SPNDS and started at SPNDS in 2022.

Kirsten Connell

Kirsten is a school-wide floater and works with all our morning programs and lunch bunch when she is available. She started at SPNDS in 2022.

Julvannie Peralta

Jules is our school’s Yoga teacher this year. She also works part time as a building wide sub when she is not teaching Yoga. She started working at SPNDS in January 2023.

Kali Wright

Kali is a part time building sub in our program this year. Kali started working at SPNDS in the fall of 2023.
