We understand that each of us has a unique faith story and relates to God in a personal way. At SPC, we seek to worship God collectively in a way that makes room for personal spiritual growth and engages the voices of four generations. While our worship services, all in the Reformed tradition, offer distinct worship experiences, you’ll always find the Word of God at the center. And, of course, all of God’s children, of any age, are welcome in every service.
› Early WorshipThe Early Morning Worship Service at 8:00 am will take place in Loeffler Chapel. This 45-minute service allows worshipers to engage with Scripture through guided discussion in lieu of a sermon, and music is led by a pianist. The order of worship and liturgy very similar to those experienced in the Sanctuary at 10:15 AM.
› Lord’s Day WorshipWorship in the Sanctuary at 10:15 am embodies a classic worship tradition. The Word is proclaimed through liturgy, song and preaching. Music led and enhanced by robed choir and pipe organ. Communion for both services is served on the first Sunday of each month.
› CommunionThe Presbyterian Church practices an open communion. Anyone who wants to know the love of Jesus Christ is invited to share in the Lord’s Supper. We celebrate the Sacrament of Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month in our 10:15 am services, and the 3rd Sunday of each month in our 8:00 am service.
Home Communion: We want to make sure that anyone who wishes to receive the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is able. With the help of our Deacons, communion is regularly brought into the homes of our members who are home-bound.

› Fellowship HourFollowing 10:15 am worship, everyone is invited to gather in Fellowship Hall for light refreshments, beverages, and a bit of fellowship. While there, take advantage of the many displays by our many committees, providing you with details about their missions, and inviting you to share in their ministries.
Swarthmore Presbyterian Church welcomes AA participants to weekly meetings in McCahan Hall. Entrance is via a door on the west end of the parking lot (across from the ABC House) under a covered walkway there.

To all who are seeking a church home and wondering if SPC may be a good fit: this invitation is for you! Churches are living breathing humans with all their many gifts and foibles. What we do in ministry is the product of these things; every new member adds dimension to our life and work together. Our Membership Committee is pleased to host monthly conversations facilitated by one of our pastors on Sunday mornings where philosophical questions of faith and doctrine are welcomed along with practical questions about the workings of worship, offerings for Christian formation (both for children and adults), and outreach to neighbors, and caring support of one another. This will be followed by a brief tour of church spaces and will wrap up in good time for you to attend 10:15 am worship in the Sanctuary.
There is a continuing urgent need for donated blood. Through the American Red Cross we are invited to help local hospital patients by donating blood at the Swarthmore Community blood drive.
