Celebrating Education, Community & Worship: Welcome All!

Early Worship
8:00 am in Loeffler Chapel

The Early Morning Worship Service at 8:00 am will take place in Loeffler Chapel. This 45-minute service allows worshipers to engage with Scripture through guided discussion in lieu of a sermon, and music is led by a pianist. The order of worship and liturgy is similar to worship in the Sanctuary at 10:15 am. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.

Adult Education
9:00 am (in the Study)

Masterpieces Every Christian Should Know: Let Your Faith Be Moved by the Masterpieces: Beginning September 13 through October 18, Adult Education will explore a variety of architecture, plays, novels, paintings, films, and musical works that have shaped both Christian faith and human culture. Discover how these masterpieces offer fresh insights into faith, creativity, and the human experience. No reading or preparation is required. Just come ready to learn, reflect, and be inspired.

Lord’s Day Worship
10:15 am in the Sanctuary

There is a special energy to this morning’s service in the Sanctuary as those who have been away much of the summer reappear, new neighbors and local college students find their way to this space, and the choir returns to the chancel. During worship, we will be presenting Bibles to our 1st and 5th graders (details below).

Children’s Ministry Kickoff
10:15 am in the Sanctuary, then Godly Play Room
11:15 am in Fellowship Hall

During worship, we will be presenting Bibles to our 1st graders, books to our families with 3rd-5th graders at home, and Bibles to our 5th Graders. Then children and their families will be invited to come up to the Godly Play Room together to learn about what makes this time special, hear a story, work together (including a meeting with adults to share how to support their children’s faith formation), and share a feast. After worship, stick around for an all-church picnic lunch.

Picnic Lunch
11:15 am in Fellowship Hall

Join us for our annual fall picnic following worship! Burgers (including veggie burgers) and hotdogs will be served fresh from the Courtyard grill. Beverages will be provided. Our contributions of salads, side dishes, fruits, and desserts will create a wonderful smorgasbord of things to go with them.

Suggested donations: $5 per person or $10 per family.

Youth Group: Family Meeting
4:30 – 6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall

Youth (6th-12th grade) AND their adults: Come learn about our exciting plans for Youth Group, meet one another, learn about how to volunteer, and ask Pastor David your questions. Enjoy dinner, play, sign up for Youth Group, learn about our plans for this year (including summer trips!), sign up to prepare meals, volunteer to be a part of Worship, and more!
