The Gnostic Gospels (Study)
All are welcome to the Adult Education conversation in the Study on Sunday mornings!
This morning we will learn about the Gnostic Gospels. Known for millennia, the Gnostic Gospels were left out of the Bible for many years due to their odd theology and views of Jesus. In 1945, some were found in Egypt, sparking curiosity among scholars. They became a curiosity for many Christians, and the Jesus Seminar in the 80’s through the early 2000’s brought them into greater focus, as did the pop cultural hit “The Da Vinci Code.” What are they? What do they say? What are they all about? We will talk abut this on Sunday morning!
