warthmore Presbyterian Church is in the news! While offering ashes for Ash Wednesday at the Swarthmore Train Station, SPC’s Rev. Sarah Cooper Searight and Rev. David Norse Thomas were the subject of a story written by Kristen Gaydos of the Presbyterian News Service. Kristen interviewed Sarah and David, asking questions about why SPC felt it was important to have such a presence in the community and what impact this presence has had over time. Sarah and David shared the importance of this time as public witness to the church’s embrace of all of God’s children, and a witness to this congregation’s commitment to being a known and trusted presence in the wider community.
