e give thanks this week for the excellent work accomplished and wonderful spirit and camaraderie that shone through the industrious, capable, and caring members of this church family who responded to the call for a “spring cleanup” last week. The forecast for drenching rain on Saturday was no deterrent! Volunteers determined to weed the Courtyard, get a winter’s worth of fallen leaves out from under the gratings around the office building, and begin work in the Memorial Garden arrived Thursday and Friday to do what clearly would not happen on Saturday. Saturday morning brought us all indoors: stains were tackled, windows cleaned, spots removed, furniture polished, dust bunnies banished, shelves and counters wiped down, clutter organized, pew cushions flipped, and lights out inventoried for replacement. To all who brought so much energy, willingness to serve, and can-do attitude to this effort, thank you!
