warthmore Presbyterian Church shares in the manifold benefits and responsibilities of membership in the broader Presbyterian Church (USA). One of our responsibilities to PC(USA) is financial support, offered through Per Capita annual contributions, which are currently $37 per member. This contribution supports work that can be best accomplished by presbyteries, synods, and the General Assembly. Your individual contribution to these important “councils” of the church are apportioned among them as follows:
- $23.76 to the Presbytery of Philadelphia for infrastructure necessary for shared ministries in Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties.
- $2.40 to the work of the Synod of the Trinity, which consists of 16 Presbyteries across Pennsylvania and parts of West Virginia and Ohio.
- $10.84 to support the Office of General Assembly, which supports our Synods, Presbyteries, and over 10,000 congregations.
We ask that you please make a per capita contribution of $37 for each SPC member in your household (adults and confirmed youth). This will allow us to make a total contribution of $24,087 to the broader Presbyterian church from SPC. Per capita contributions are not funded through our operating budget.
