Fellowship: 11:15 am in Fellowship Hall

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.” Acts 2:1-4

T

he dramatic story of Pentecost is full of speaking, flames, smoke, and the Spirit. All who gather for worship are invited to experience this old story brought to life. During the final hymn, we will be sent out to Harvard Avenue lawn (weather permitting), singing, drumming, and moved by the Spirit. Following worship, all are invited to gather around tables in Fellowship Hall to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit through intergenerational activities, and to share a light lunch provided by the Children and Youth Christian Formation Committee. A contribution of $5 per person or $20 per family will help us to continue to host intergenerational events like these. Friends and neighbors welcome as always. Don’t forget to wear red!

*Note: There will be a single service of worship on this holiday weekend. Regular 8 am services in Loeffler Chapel resume Sunday, June 4.
