hank you to all who supported the Music Ministry’s performance of Paul Winter’s Missa Gaia on Sunday, April 28! A video recording of the performance is now available by clicking here. Missa Gaia was composed as an “ecological and ecumenical” mass in celebration of the earth. The piece follows the traditional movement structure of a mass while incorporating eclectic sounds from our world into its tapestry, like the howl of a wolf, the song of a whale, and African and Latin rhythms. The performance on April 28 at SPC was shared as a gift to the community, in celebration of the beauty of the earth.
