oin our Beloved Community partnership—Temple Sholom and Swarthmore Presbyterian Church—alongside Rev. Joyce Shin and Rabbi Peter Rigler for a transformative Civil Rights Journey through the American South. This immersive experience is designed to inspire and equip participants to return home engaged and empowered, recognizing that each person has a role to play in continuing the work of justice. Travelers will encounter primary sources, including individuals who worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and participants in the Selma marches. Together, we will explore the Civil Rights Movement through a faith lens, visiting sites connected to the Equal Justice Initiative and gaining a deeper understanding of how this ongoing work continues to shape American life today.
To take part in this meaningful experience, please plan to arrive in Atlanta by Saturday, January 9, as the group will depart at 8:15 am on Sunday, January 10. Pricing is $1,350 per person for double occupancy and $1,650 for single occupancy; this does not include roundtrip airfare, Saturday night lodging, or dinners. Full payment by check is due at the time of registration, no later than July 30, 2026.
