Lord’s Day Worship
8:00 am in Loeffler Chapel / 10:15 am in the Sanctuary / via livestream on YouTube

“In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve.” – From A Brief Statement of Faith, 1991

A

ll Saints’ Sunday is a special day in the life of the church as we make space to remember those who have passed from this life to the next. This year, we are honored to welcome our friends from Temple Sholom in Broomall to join us in worship for this meaningful service. During the Prayer of Great Thanksgiving, offered as part of the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, we will name each church member who has died since this time last year, followed by the tolling of a bell. The banner next to the pulpit, an oil painting on gray canvas, was created by Martha Huggins and gifted to the church for use at memorial services and on All Saints’ Sunday. The Book of Saints, a compilation of obituaries of many members who have worshiped here over the years, will be on display in the hallway adjoining Loeffler Chapel.

I

n the Reformed tradition, All Saints’ Day is an appropriate time to remember and honor the loss of loved ones and church members that have died.

On November 1, 2026 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, we invite all Young Adults to participate in an embodied exercise to honor the loss of our loved ones. In this exercise, we may hold the death of a person or animal in our hearts. We may also hold the death of a part of ourselves that no longer serves us. In this space, all loss is welcome for honoring.

We will meet in Fellowship Hall at 11:30 am after worship, engage in a brief writing reflection, participate in an embodied exercise in the Labyrinth outside, and close with reflection and prayer.

“All Saint’s Day reminds us that we are part of a one continuing, living communion of saints,” (PCUSA).
