aring for all of God’s creation is central to so much of what Swarthmore Presbyterian Church does, that many of us might not even realize it. This Fall, you are invited to begin to see more clearly that through our ministries, we are caring for God’s creation and be energized to do more as God’s servants. On Sunday, October 27, we will explore how Montreat Conference Center, and Black Mountain Presbyterian Church are caring for all of God’s creation, from people to animals, plants to waterways, in response to Hurricane Helene, to provide relief and create lasting, resilient communities.

Looking Ahead: On Sunday November 3, we will introduce the Biblical foundation of Earth Care. On Sunday November 10, we will explore examples of Earth Care in action: identifying things that we do now or might choose to do (e.g., food care, immigrant housing, social justice, pollution prevention, sustainability, blessing of animals, reconnecting to nature, environmental stewardship, experiencing our faith through music and the arts, etc.) On Sunday, November 17, we will explore the Earth Care Congregation program, and how it helps us recognize what we are doing within the larger context of Creation Care and can energize us to be more faithful stewards.
