What is the Bible? How should we read it? What do people mean when they say the Bible is inspired? In her last book Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again Rachel Held Evans examines some of our favorite Bible stories and possible interpretations. What she discovered changed her and we are excited to ask ourselves the question, “What will we discover?” Please join us during the 9:00 hour for 8 weeks starting January 5 to discuss and consider Inspired taking it a chapter per week! All are welcome!

There are copies of Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again in the office to preview and/or purchase. The book can be found as well on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc., or your favorite e-book app!

rom slaying dragons in week five of our eight-week study of Inspired by Rachel Held Evans, we turn in week six to more soothing waters. Join us as we immerse ourselves in the Gospel stories—the good news of Jesus as found in John and Acts. What we learn is not simply “good news.” It’s epic news, with epic consequences! What’s more, says Held Evans, we all have gospel stories to tell— of swimming in waters that shimmer with the wonder of what “on earth as it is in heaven” truly means, present yet hidden, immanent yet transcendent. Come inspire us with yours.
