warthmore Presbyterian Church is again participating in the backpack school supplies drive coordinated by the Lutheran Churches of Delaware County. This interfaith effort involves faith communities throughout the County, and the backpack supplies will be distributed in Chester and Upper Darby, two communities where the need is greatest. Last year, this interfaith effort was able to fill and distribute over 500 backpacks, and the need is even greater this year. The 2025 drive will conclude on the morning of August 3. On that day in worship, we will include a Blessing of Backpacks for those donated and all school-age students preparing to begin the new school year. More information about the Blessing of Backpacks will be shared closer to the date. There are three ways you can participate.
