› Chester Children’s Chorus Spring Concerts: Strong Voice, Strong Mind, Strong Spirit

Saturday, May 7 / 4:00 pm
in the Scott Outdoor Amphitheater (Swarthmore College)

A

program of Swarthmore College, the Chester Children’s Chorus is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round music and math education to the children of Chester, Pennsylvania. During the school year, children and youth ages 7 through 18 develop their vocal talents via rehearsals and concerts as well as their math skills through small group and individualized instruction. All of this takes place in the large tent and recently renovated building on the other side of our parking lot. They are wonderful neighbors, with whom we are privileged to be affiliated.

The seeds of talent and love of music, nourished by imaginative planning, hard work, and persistence in the face of daunting challenges this year are now bearing amazing fruit in the form of two spring concerts offered to the whole community by the Chester Children’s Chorus (CCC)! Rehearsals are in full swing, (as anyone here in the late afternoon can testify) as these talented children, led by John Alston and Sean Tripline, prepare to perform selections from Handel’s Messiah, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bill Withers, and more. The concert schedule is as follows:

Chester Children’s Chorus – Spring Concert Schedule

Handel’s Messiah | Sunday, May 1 at 5 pm – at Upper TarbleSave
Spring Concert | Saturday, May 7 at 4 pm – in the Scott Outdoor Amphitheater

Both concerts are free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. To learn more about CCC, visit them online. For concert details, click here.
