This moving work invites listeners to meditate on the emotional landscape of Christ’s crucifixion. As the composer writes, “The Seven Last Words are a set of texts that have their origins in the Bible… haunting in their simplicity, they expose a gamut of emotions experienced during the Passion in a way that distills the most poignant moments of the human condition.” The concert is free and open to the public and will last approximately 45 minutes.
