We here at SPC are beyond excited to begin our VBS named Compassion Camp! Compassion Camp is a Summer program where we will learn to be loved, be kind, be you, through many activities, such as Bible stories, music, arts and crafts, and movement.
From July 31st through August 28th, a pre-recorded Compassion Camp video will be posted online each Friday. We will also be offering an in-person “movement” activity at the church on Fridays from 8am-8:30am, starting August 7th! This will be done at a safe social distance, and the movement activity will also be pre-recorded so you won’t miss it if you can’t come in person! As VBS is mostly pre-recorded, you and your children are invited to participate in participating at any time that fits your family calendar.
Compassion Camp is designed for children in elementary school (ages 5-10), with all the activities guided via the videos. This at-home VBS also welcomes your whole family to learn about compassion together! In our sign-up form, you will see the offer of a family-led Compassion Camp program (offered in a PDF format) for any families that would like to practice Compassion away from any technology screens. You are, of course welcomed to use both on screen and off screen elements; we will provide all the materials needed for Virtual Compassion Camp and Family-led Compassion Camp! We are pleased to offer VBS this summer at no cost to you. There are, however, specific crafts, coloring materials, and activities and we can plan to get these fun materials to you all in a Compassion Camp care package, so please use the form below to register your children by Monday July 27th, 2020!
