Baptisms & Weddings

Baptisms

We rejoice with you in the birth of your baby and God’s gift of new life! We also celebrate and support your desire to give public witness in the Sacrament of Baptism. The service of Baptism is a memorable occasion of thanksgiving and hope, as our congregation vows to support parents in the spiritual nurturing of their children.

Parents wishing to have a child baptized should contact the church office at 610-543-4712 to speak with a pastor and make appropriate arrangements.

› Weddings

In the 120 years since SPC opened its doors, we have been honored to celebrate hundreds of weddings in our Sanctuary and Chapel. It is our privilege to share in the union of two people who wish to make their commitment to one another before God. If you would like to move forward in planning your wedding at SPC, please contact our church office to reserve a date and to schedule an appointment with a pastor.

For a copy of our wedding customs and expectations, and a fee schedule, please contact Parish Administrator Dorrie McGrath at admin@swarthmorepres.org. Once you have made arrangements with a pastor and reserved your date on the church calendar, you will be invited to complete a wedding information form. Please note that a minister on the staff of Swarthmore Presbyterian Church will be the presiding minister at all weddings. Other clergy may participate at the invitation of the presiding minister.
