n the season of Advent, we spend this time preparing our hearts for God’s redeeming presence in Christ, who arrives in vulnerability yet with the power to restore all of creation. In our worship together this Advent season, we will hold together both the tangible event of Jesus’ birth and the whole creation that waits in longing for redemption. Preaching will consider Scripture texts, some familiar and some less so to this season, with a series on “Creation and Advent”. We will watch together as life blossoms over these weeks in our shared space. We will also hold to familiar traditions, singing beloved hymns and carols, and lighting Advent candles–beginning with the candle of Hope and adding one each Sunday (Peace, Joy, Love) as we prepare for the coming of the One who is light of the world.
