ou are invited to attend two special Adult Education gatherings that explore the richness of our Children and Youth Christian Formation programing, and the gifts they can offer adults. On Sunday, October 25, Matt Hartley and David will share what our congregation’s confirmation curriculum explores, from exploring spiritual practices, to drawing close to God through scripture, service, worship, and more. Confirmation at SPC is centered around developing some of the lifelong skills needed to nurture the spiritual life, and along with exploring how these skills may be helpful in our current life stages, this gathering will also give us a chance to reflect on our own experiences with confirmation and other religious rites of passage into adulthood.

On Sunday, November 1, we will have an opportunity to experience a bit of Godly Play for Adults, a new program developed to nurture the spiritual lives of mature Christians. Godly Play was created in conversation with the contemplative Christian tradition, and the exploration of the existential limits of individuals through the meaning making systems of the Bible and Christian Theology. This new approach invites adults into a deeper encounter of the Trinity.
