Click on the link above to view a video celebrating SPC’s Youth Ministry trip to the Montreat Youth Conference Center in North Carolina. Narrated by Rev. David Norse, SPC Associate Pastor for Christian Formation, the video highlights how, through the generosity of stewardship, SPC makes it possible for our youth to step away from daily routines and experience God in this sacred mountain setting. Moment for Stewardship: Montreat Youth Conference

M

ontreat Youth Conference is a rare chance for our young people to bring all that they have, and be all that they are, into the presence of our loving God, and a nurturing community. We bring all that we have as a church to Montreat, and through partnerships with other congregations were able to create a home in the mountains, all of who we are as individuals and a community is more than enough. We bring all that we have to worship, singing, praising, feeling God’s presence moving within and among us.

Our youth encounter words of empowerment and encouragement to reframe the challenges of our world and adolescence through the Lens of the Good News. We play, making new friends, finding that all that we have, and all that we are, is enough with God to be a foretaste of the kingdom of heaven. We support Montreat Youth Conference, not just financially, but also through volunteering to make the Conference a reality, and we’re excited to have our youth stepping into new leadership roles, so that over 2,000 youth a summer can experience God in this special place, and special way.

Join myself, our children and youth Christian formation Committee, and so many others who make this week away with God and new friends a reality, by making a pledge, so that our youth can continue to grow up knowing that all that we have as a people, and all of who we are, is perfect for what God is calling forth, at Montreat and beyond.

The following FAQ (available by clicking the button below) is designed to provide insight into how SPC allocates our pledged dollars and how pledges help SPC to plan its ministry. We hope this information will help you consider your annual pledge to the ministry of SPC.

As you prayerfully consider making your financial pledge, we invite you to reflect on our 2027 “Moment for Stewardship” videos. They present the many reasons to support the ministry of Swarthmore Presbyterian Church. To watch all the videos on a playlist, click on the link above. Thank you for supporting SPC!
