Making a Lasting Impact: Love Reaches from 727 to 731 Harvard Ave & Beyond

T

he ABC House Strath Haven has been a part of the ministry and mission of SPC since 1975. Since that time, not only has SPC given use of the house at 731 Harvard Ave and helped to steward the property, countless individuals and families from our congregation have served as Host Families, Board members, and community advocates, among other critical volunteer offerings.

Given our long history and initiative with ABC Strath Haven, it is time again that SPC is needed to help in efforts to revitalize the visibility of the house and of the program in our wider community.
Given our long history and initiative with ABC Strath Haven, it is time again that SPC is needed to help in efforts to revitalize the visibility of the house and of the program in our wider community.

ABC Strath Haven alumnus Russell Swan shared his testimony with the congregation to this end, just this past Sunday, December 15 in worship, calling us to renew our commitment to this work. Mr. Swan reminds us of the proven track-record of this program for the many alums whose lives were changed by the educational opportunities and leadership development afforded by ABC Strath Haven. Here we have yet another testimony for how Love Reaches from 727 Harvard Avenue, just next door to 731 Harvard Ave and beyond, into the lives of both alums and Swarthmore community members who have built lasting relationships through this vital program.
