Alternative Christmas Shop

Sundays, November 28 through December 19, 2010
11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall
Walk-in orders filled through Thursday, December 23

Each Year, our Church sponsors an "Alternative Christmas Shop" that gives anyone an opportunity to make affordable donations to specific charities in the names of friends and loved ones.  You might, for instance, buy bedding for a homeless Philadelphia family through the Interfaith Hospitality Network, or seeds for a Nicaraguan farmer through CEPAD Nicaragua.  For your donation you'll receive a lovely card that you can give to your friend or loved one, which lets them know that the gift has been made in their name.  Soon on this webpage, we will post our list of charitable giving opportunities available through our Shop in 2010.  Come back early this Fall to see the listings.

2009 Projects

Clicking on the name of each project will enable you to download a flyer in pdf format that summarizes the work of the agencies supported by this year's ACS. To the right of each project name is a link that takes you directly to the parent organization's website, where you can learn in greater detail what its work is about and how to be of help.  Needs continue year round; in most cases you may support these agencies directly through their websites long after our Alternative Christmas Shop has closed it doors for the season.
