Alternative Christmas Shop

Sundays, November 27 through December 18, 2011
11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall
Walk-in orders filled through Thursday, December 23

Each Year, our Church sponsors an "Alternative Christmas Shop" that gives participants an opportunity to make affordable donations to specific charities in the names of friends and loved ones.  You might, for instance, buy mosquito netting for children in India to help prevent malaria, or provide a water filter for a Nicaraguan family through CEPAD Nicaragua.  For your donation you receive a lovely card that you can give to your friend or loved one, which lets them know that the gift has been made in their name.  2010 projects are listed below.  Although the "shop" is on hiatus, most of the agencies and projects we promoted offer year-round opportunities to give online.  We encourage the use of this list as an alternative gift resource throughout the year.

2011 projects will be announced by Thankgsgiving 2011.

2010 Projects

Clicking on the name of each project will enable you to download a flyer in pdf format that summarizes the work of the agencies supported by this year's ACS. To the right of each project name is a link that takes you directly to the parent organization's website, where you can learn in greater detail what its work is about and how to be of help.  Enjoy your browsing!
