Alternative Christmas Shop

SPC’s Alternative Christmas Shop (ACS) is a joyous way to celebrate the holiday season. Each Sunday during Advent, we offer shoppers an opportunity to choose meaningful gifts for everyone on your shopping list, while providing help to others, both near and far. With a wide range of charities from all over the world from which to choose, you will find something for everyone on your list.

The charities that we support change each year, with committee members working hard all year round to find new organizations to sponsor. We have assisted charities as near as Chester and Philadelphia, providing children with enrichment opportunities in summer camp and after-school programs, and teaching them how to cook healthy meals. Worldwide charities have also been represented in places as far as Syria and Peru. We’ve helped to fund the purchase of school supplies for children in Syrian refugee camps, and to provide primary medical and preventative care to families in the remote Amazon Basin.

This year’s shop will be open in Fellowship Hall immediately following worship for four Sundays, beginning on November 26. Enjoy live holiday music, delicious cookies and the best Christmas shopping experience around, with gifts ranging in price from $5 to $30. ACS committee members will be on hand to answer questions about any of the gift offerings. Cashiers will fill your order while you wait and provide you with lovely gift cards for your recipients, detailing the specific gifts made in their honor.

We are grateful to all who choose to “give hope around the world” through the many projects supported by our Alternative Christmas Shop. May they bring healthy doses of hope, peace, love and joy to many of God’s children in the year ahead!

2017 ACS shopping lists will be available beginning in November.
