Welcoming Infants and Toddlers
Childcare is provided in our nursery Sundays mornings throughout the 9:00 education hour and and 10:15 worship services and the fellowship time that takes place after worship. It is available during 8:00 worship and during weekday services by request. Parents are asked to let Ashley Charles, Children's Ministry Coordinator (reachable at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-543-4712 x118), know when you are involved at these times and the names and ages of the children needing care.
Needed! Childcare Coordinator
We are grateful for the five years of ministry to SPC infants and toddlers by Liz (Seymour) Serpentine, a certified teacher by vocation and mother of two young children. Liz cared for babies and toddlers with a welcoming smile, capable hands, and unflappable presence of mind and spirit, a wonderful model for the next person to fill this role. Until that happens, Ashley Charles a handful of capable volunteers are here beginning at 8:45 on Sunday morning and stay until the last child is picked up after fellowship. Parents (or grandparents) are asked to come early (ten minutes or so before 9:00 or 10:15) to introduce themselves and give both child and caregiver a chance to get familiar with one another.
Sundays 10:00am through 11:30am
Childcare for 3 and 4 year-olds who are little too squirmy to let their parents focus in worship on Sunday morning is now available in McCahan Hall. Volunteers are needed to support this effort; if you can help - even for a single Sunday - please be in touch with Ashley Charles at 610-543-4712 x118 or email@example.com.
Summer Schedule - Memorial Day through Labor Day
Our summer schedule starts Memorial Day weekend and last through the first weekend in September (Labor Day Weekend). Sunday morning offerings for children include childcare for infants and toddlers and up to age three in the nursery during the 9:30am worship service.
Children in Worship
Children are welcome in all worship services at SPC. Most will find the Church Family Worship service to be the most engaging. For the adults who stay with them -- at any worship service: please use the left menu bar to access our "Children in Worship" brochure (pdf format) for tips on helping them, and you, to get the most out of a Sunday worship service.
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.”
